Good luck|||At a store

Does anyone here work for Lancome cosmetics?

For Lancome beauty advisers only please:

I

am thinking about applying for a job with them at my local Macy's. I used to work at Clinique but I quit because of a nasty boss. What is it like working for Lancome?|||Someone I know worked for lancome. They would like to see you have some selling experience, if present. You can NEVER sit down even when there is no customers. You stand and smile at people walking by praying that they would come over for a makeover. Don't be too pushy when your selling a product- always use lines like "OHHH I love this stuff its good for..."

Good Luck

Can you use the Cell Defense from Lancome while you still have some zits?

Earlier this year, I broke out a lot and now they almost gone but I have lots of acne scars. My sister had the same problem and she used the cell defense from lancome and now she has the most beautiful skin. But she used it when all of her acne was clear. I, on the other hand, still have some zits. But I HATE those scar so I wanna use the cell defense now. Have you ever tries cell defense for the same reason? Do you think it'll be ok if I start using it now? Thanks in advance!|||I think it's fine to use it and if anything remotely happens you can always just stop using it

Is it true that Lancome cosmetics test on animals?

I'm a huge believer in Lancome and I have quite a few of their products. Why do cosmetic companies test on animals anyways? Can't they just test on happy volunteers?|||Nope =]

They don't and I'm very happy with that too. My makeup collection consists of many Lancome products.|||I love how the asker chose as the "best answer" the one she was hoping to obtain. It isn't accurate. You should also be aware that "finished product not tested on animals" is NOT the same thing as the ingredients therein not being tested. Do your homework. "Gullible", by the way, is the spelling

|||Exactly. Lancome DOES test on animals.

|||Yeah, I agree with Atalanta and Raquel.

|||lancome is owned by loreal and does test on animals, dont believe what everyone says, always try to do research and find the real answer. Also peta.org is a great resource tool.

|||I believe Lancome does NOT test on animals(or at least their London branch doesn't). It is one of the reasons why they're so popular. Cover Girl, Max Factor, Sally Hansen, L'Oreal do test on animals. They want to avoid toxicity, eye and skin irritancy when used with human subjects. They don't want to be responsible if someone dies or permanent effects from a new product. It's also faster to do it with animals.|||yes, i believe they do. here is a list of some well-known companies that do test on animals

http://www.uncaged.co.uk/crueltyfree.htm

i was really disappointed when i heard that lancome tests. im a big animal advocate and as soon as i find out a company tests, i immediately stop using whatever products i have from them. even if the brand doesnt test but it contains an ingredient which somehow harms the environment (i recently found out my ZA night cream contains palm oil), ill stop using it also.

i dont get why they test on animals either. animals are not going to have the same reactions to chemicals as humans are. rats have different immune systms and everything than humans.|||Yes, they do; Lancome is part of the L'Oreal Group, which tests on animals (except for the Body Shop, I think).

http://search.caringconsumer.com/search_鈥?/a>

Caring Consumer is the best place to go because it's run by PETA.

Some brands test their products on volunteers, but like the others said, many do not want to risk getting sued for something that could possibly go wrong. I've read about L'Oreal funding this research for testing products on human skin cells or something like that, but I haven't found any updates on it.|||is it true that 20 pounds of flour will make a really big cake?

Happy volunteers that might experience death or have horrible morphing effects, yeah I don't think so, so let them test on disease carrying rodents and pests suck as Rats.|||Because Happy Volunteers will sue the companies if anything happens to them ^.^ Now, which would be more cost effective? Paying the insurance for said happy volunteers, or grab a random mouse?|||Lancom doesn't.

Read their makeup labels.

They clearly state they DONT.

And, they taste on animals because.

would u rather have a badly hurt human with a law suit on your new product which COULD have made u millions? Or a dead rat.|||Who would you rather have their face burnt off when testing a foundation gone wrong?

Your mum? Or a rat?

I have 40 dollars. Should I buy the new lancome mascara or buy a mac pencil eyeliner and clinique lipgloss?

I already have a eyeliner from makeup forever but it doesn't work as well as I would like it. And it's hard to get sharpened. I also have a mascara from urban decay but lancome mascara looks amazinggg on me.|||Mac or Clinique just because Lancome tests on animals and I am trying to stay away from companies that do that, plus you already said you have an UD mascara so you should use that up first since mascaras don't last that long.|||buy a MAC pencil eyeliner %26amp; clinique lipgloss. Honestly though, you can find tons of other alternatives that work better or dupes if you looked up swatches online and get more bang for your buck. But cheap mascaras work just as well as high end mascaras, and mascara's shelf life is only around 4-6 months. So I wouldn't spend so much on mascara formula (it's usually the brush that comes with it that make the performance better, so if a mascara isn't working so hot for you, change the brush).|||I'd say get the mascara because if I had to go without something I'd go without eyeliner and keep Mascara. Plus, there this amazing elk eyeliner for like 99c and it's the best eyeliner I've ever had (can be found at cvs and i'm sure a lot of other places). Now you can get Mascara and eye liner x] Hope this helps.|||I tend to find that a good mascara is harder to get hold of, and lipgloss and eyeliner doesn't change much according to price. Lipglosses may be sticky if they're cheap, so check them out before you buy them.

I'd go with the mascara as you've said it looks really good on you.|||go to NARS and pick up either orgasm or anything else you adore or get something from too faced all under 40$ and carried at sephora. between your 2 optionsw go with the options from mac. since your in need of mascara though why not try mac's new 2 in 1 mascara! check out my channel dedicated to hair, makeup, fashion and advice! www.youtube.com/cakekiss25|||You should Give the Money to me,.. ahaha, jk, you should by the lancome mascara, because you can ALWAYS get pencil eyeliners and lipglosses|||Lancome mascara is the best choice.

What is the most worthwhile product from Lancome?

I like makeup and want to try Lancome but they aren't cheap :P so if I was going to get one thing, what should I get? If you need a picture of me let me know, but I was thinking of general things, like foundation or a mascara or whatever it is.|||Their eye shadows are creamy and the pigments are intense.

My recommendation is that you shop for your lancome products when there is a Gift with Purchase so that you can try several items from them including mascaras, lipsticks, glosses and shadows. You can decide what formulas you like and then repurchase them. Since you usually need to spend close to $30 in order to get the gift, pick up a shadow and a mascara since they're basics.

If the gift doesn't have the perfect shade of lipcolor for you, try it anyway so you get to know the formula and how well it wears. If you like it, then you can buy a different color the next time they have a free gift.|||Juicy tubes Lip Gloss|||The mascara. I have been a lancome user for several years, and I am an avid Absolue moisturizer, Absolue cleanser, and Definicil mascara. I thought I would suggest the mascara first, because my Absolue moisturizer is 145.00 and the cleanser aaround 55.00. On the upside I ONLY have to buy it twice a year. I have learned when it comes to skin care, you get what you pay for. there are many other skin care products which are probably just as good, but you will need to use more of it to get the same benefits. High end skin care products only require a dab.

Is Lancome guenifique serum really worth the money? Or is Estee Lauders Advanced Night Repair just as good?

I can't decide if I should spend all that money on Lancome when I think Estee Lauder is good too. Has anyone used both of these skin care lines and liked one better or not?|||Personally I prefer Lancome over Estee Lauder.

Lancome's Genefique serum and Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair work on two completely seperate things. Yes, they are both "anti-ageing" but they are different.

Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair is more to heal the skin from past damage. That being redness from irritation, dark spots from the sun, dryness from de-hydration...

Lancome's Genefique serum is used to stimulate the skin to retain more water (you will not look fat or bloated!)..thereby reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and having smoothing, softer skin.

So it all depends on what it is exactly that you're looking for.|||It is true that both work on two different thing. But Genifique isn't a serum. It's an activator. It is unique because it can be used in combination with a serum. It works on a DNA level to reproduce "youth protiens". It recreates the light from within our skin. Doesn't fight lines or wrinkles

|||Advanced night repair is a serum made to help repair skin while you sleep. Although it claims to fight lines and wrinkles, it only targets one type of collagen strand. There are other anti line serums that target up to 5 different types of collagen to fight lines and restructure.

|||i have never used either, but my mom uses the estee lauder one

so basically if u are looking to improve the general state of ur skin or u want to get rid of discolorations and/or prevent them, estee lauder is the one

if u r looking to get rid of/prevent lines, wrinkles and get firming effects, the lancome one is for u

maybe check up on their websites as well if u r not sure?
